Hot, humid (of course) day in Singapore and a great hike with good friends in beautiful MacRitchie National Park. Monitor lizards, monkeys, constant birdsong, amazing palms, huge bamboo, and massive ferns. Miles of trails through the jungle as pristine as possible in Singapore.
I love that I see bald eagles all the time...I know they've made a comeback a lot of places around the US, but there are so many here, it never ceases to amaze me. This guy was hanging out on a craggy old tree near the Stillaguamish River near Arlington, Washington this morning.
I've got most of the initial pieces in place to let it fly...a little nervous about outing the URL sort of, but what the heck...maybe later tonight or tomorrow.
Worked on content for the portfolio sections, adding categories and renaming things several times. I think I've shot so long that the variety I have in my collection is difficult to categorized sometimes. Also, I find myself with too many images that I really like (and that other people have really liked over the years); that has made it difficult to 'downselect' to just a representative sample at times.
But the part of the site I'm trying to build out now takes care of that problems somewhat...the 'Pulbic Galleries' section will take me about forever to build - in fact, it really won't ever be done. It will contain the related images from a day, event, block of time, or life segment that all go together. Anything from a day of hiking with my daughters to a trip to somewhere I've taken.
Hope it all looks the way I imagine at some point. :)
After several years with almost no website at all and after several attempts with another photography hosting service and an attempt to make a Wordpress implementation work, I've landed here at Zenfolio. So far I like the simplicity of the build and design tools; I haven't figured out a lot of things yet, but I'm encouraged. Not a lot of time to work on it, but I'll put a few hours in at night as often as I can squeeze it in!
